Highway Code Road Safety Law Changes – Post Office Ltd Action

Image: Post Office Notice of HJighwat Code ChangesFollowing the recent, significant, far-reaching changes to The Highway Code that came into effect on 29 January, the CWU Health, Safety and Environment Department has discussed the impact of the changes in detail with employers (RMG and POL), encouraging them to ensure drivers receive necessary communications and information about the far-reaching Code and road law changes.

At the POL/CWU National Road Risk Forum, the issue was discussed extensively, following correspondence, information share and proposals from the CWU Health, Safety and Environment Department as part of our campaign to raise awareness, and encourage safer driving in POL.

The Post Office Ltd (POL) “Highway Code Update on the 29 January Changes” which has been used as a POL Driver Briefing and Handout following our discussions with the POL Head of Fleet and Safety Director and proposed content.
